Creative writing

Well, most of you don’t have to figure it out or be geniouses, I like to have a hand in production and a lorra things myself. This album I’m pushing even more. “Hey, dude, I have these ideas, and they don’t have to be 100% but I like them enough to include them partially”. And it has really made a difference. I have these brilliant producers and mixing technicians asking me to take my ideas one step further and push the envelope just a bit more. For that I am grateful. People going with my ideas even when I sometimes don’t myself. I’ve had a lot of conversations about mixing and “cranking it up” and they’ve all pretty much followed my ideas. It doesn’t have to be “cranked up”. It just has to be me. And following my music in the right way. Turn the knob on your stereo if you want it louder.

I just recieved some flute audio. And while I didn’t do a lot on the audio for the EP, now I am listening and really having a go at what I want. And the flute turned up right in my alley. Recorded right, “non-cranked” right. I do love that my old fashioned view is appreciated where it needs to be. In the end, it’s all about working with the people who share your ideas, not necessarily always your stipulations and scores, but your ideas. I do think this is gonna be the best album yet! 🙂
