Remember to be pointless!

OK, so must creative people don’t think too hard yet often produce meaningful things because they think meaningful thoughts.

Most of the time. I am totally aware that one of the hard things of the profession is that we tend to be over sensitive and analyze too much. But you know;

Ideally when we work, we work the best when we just “do it”. Put no pressure on ourselves. We often remember it in the beginning then gravitate towards overthinking as we finish up or have been working for a long time. And when you are stuck, remember to be pointless! Because having fun with something with no meaning reminds you everything doesn’t have to have one. Play a bad singstar och guitar hero game. Watch a comedy or fun clips on youtube. Go for a walk and imitate a Monty Python member’s silly walk. Give your pet a funny voice (mine already have, I can’t make them funnier), or my fav which I did with Silja (my lady of the bass) the other day;

Photobooth films! We made four totally random masterpieces with vortex heads and mirrors and buckles, FOUR! Suck it, Peter Jackson and dragging things out in three, we totally rocked up four!! Unfortunately I haven’t found a way to upload video to wordpress unless linking to them, when I do find a way I’ll put ’em right here where they belong 😉
